Hey, you repiled to my comment on the ReCe page about gay rights, and I thought I'd reply here, so I don't start an arguement with someone, or get pissed off if an extremeist Christian gets on at me.
Here's the reply: A lot of stuff is to do with people having problems about others being Gay, it's sometimes about extreme religions that say it's sinning, it's wrong, it's not the way God made you, etc (I could go on all day about this) sometimes it's down to bigotry, which is wrong on so many levels. Or it's just general hate, because (and I say this as a gay right's supporter) two guys, or two girls, isn't really something you see every day, while a straight couple is.
But I do agree, it's ridiculous when people act like it's the end of the world or everyone's going to turn out gay, and don't even get me started on when people get attacked because of it. I do (verbally, not physically), and I'm at a crap school that doesn't do anything unless I tell them about it, but it's just sick, no matter what context it's in.
Bottom line (quite literally) some people are just homophobic bigots who can't get off their high-horses long enough to realise that their beliefs are outdated and stupid, and that will not stop lesbians or gays from living their lives.
