Overview[]

CeCe and Rocky help Mrs. Garcia throw her daughter, Dina, a birthday party.

Episode Summary[]

CeCe and Rocky start a new dance craze called Twist My Hips. Mrs. Garcia wants to throw a huge party for Dina's birthday, but Dina wants a simple, small party, so CeCe and Rocky take over organizing Dina's party. However, they throw an over the top Hawaiian circus luau party that appeals to them and forget what Dina wanted, and end up trying to fix it. They end up moving the party to the set of Shake It Up, Chicago! behind Dina's mother's back as she obliviously dances. Meanwhile, Flynn gets a new robot that destroys things with its laser hands, and he gets his friend Henry to help him defeat the robot. Deuce tries to impress Mrs. Garcia by learning how to dance from Ty. In the end, he does dance with her, but he's dancing the female part and not the male, as Ty was the one that led during their practice.

Memorable Quotes[]

CeCe: Dina relax, when you're talking to your mum just remember to P.O.O

Dina: Excuse me?

CeCe: P.O.O; P: Plead for what you want, O: Only take yes for an answer, O: Cry if all else fails!

Rocky: Wait a minute, isn't that P.O.C? Like poc?

CeCe: Yeah but P.O.O sticks in your head

Rocky: I'll take your word for it.

Trivia[]

  • In this episode, it is revealed that Dina's dad is from Cuba, and her mom is from New Jersey.
  • Mrs. Garcia's maiden name is Bernstein, which is a common German last name.
  • This episode's name may be a reference to the 60' band, Chubby Checkers and their song Twist It Up.

Goofs[]

  • When Henry threw the baseball, it landed in front of the counter, but when they went to the back of the counter (in the kitchen) to see it on the ground, the baseball was there.
  • When Fist-Bang comments on a TV show he is sitting in the chair closest to the door, out of sight of the TV. So he would be unable to watch the programme he was watching.
